The Yellow Dot Program

The Yellow Dot Program is a life-saving initiative designed to provide critical information to first responders during automobile accidents when individuals may be unable to communicate for themselves. By participating in this program, citizens can ensure that vital medical details, emergency contacts, and other crucial information are readily accessible to emergency personnel, helping to preserve the “Golden Hour” of care—the critical time following a serious incident.

Participants receive a Yellow Dot packet that includes a medical information form and a distinctive Yellow Dot decal. The decal is placed on the rear windshield of the participant’s vehicle, signaling first responders to locate the packet in the glove compartment. This simple yet effective system enhances the safety and well-being of our community members.

You can pick up your Yellow Dot packet at North Shelby Fire Station #1, 4617 Valleydale Road. For additional information, call (205) 991-6439 Ext. 1or visit the Alabama Yellow Dot Program video to learn more. Join us in taking proactive steps to protect yourself and your loved ones on the road.
